Commedia Beauregard

The Commedia Beauregard (or in short CommBeau) is a theater in Chicago.


The Commedia Beauregard was founded by Christopher Kidder-Mostrom in Saint Paul, Minnesota (1). The first show was in january 2000. the same year it moved to Nocollet Ave in Minneapolis. In 2006 the theater decided to specialize in translated works and presented plays from a lot of languages.

In 2007 the theater became famous worldwide for a unique performance of "A Klingon Christmas Carol", which is repeated every year since then. Since 2010 the theater plays in Chicago.


The theater has a klingon version of Hamlet in the program. For the extra content section on the bluray version of "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country" some of the scenes were recorded.
