Context if for kings is the title of the third episode of Star Trek: Discovery. It premiered on the 1st of October 2017 on CBS All Access and one day later worldwide on Netflix.


Michael's shuttle is being collected by the mysterious U.S.S. Discovery. Gabriel Lorca, the captain of the ship wants her to be part of a dangerous mission: An accident happened at the Discovery's sister ship and the crew has to salvage their equipment. Lorca persuades Michael to study an unknown creature they've found at the ship.

New word in the subtitles

In the subtitles Lieven Litaer provided, a new word can be seen: SanmIr. This new word seems to mean "spore". It is not known if Marc Okrand as approved this new word, so until this happens, it is not considered canon.
