Appearances of Klingon: on television - in movies - in the news - in commercials - in politics - in literature - Translations

Darths & Droids

Darths & Droids is an online comic from 2007, based on freeze frames of Star Wars movies (1). Those freeze frames are combined to a comic strip with speech bubbles and notations added. There are over 1300 single pages in existence (2).

The plot of the comic doesn't have very much in common with the one of the Star Wars movies, even if some of the characteristics of the roles and the sequence of images are copied. The comic is a kind of guidance for roleplayers to introduce them to their fictional world.

Klingon Version

In 2008 David Trimboli and Robyn Stewart have translated the first ten pages of the comic into klingon (3). The comic is easy to read, because the latin transcription is used and the additional comments of both the translators explain the translation of certain phrases and terms.
