Klingon Drinking Song

'ej HumtaH 'ej DechtaH 'Iw is a well-known klingon drinking song. It was heard for the first time in 1996 in DSN-episode "The Way of the Warrior".


The lyrics aren't fully correct in a grammatical sense, because it's ancient klingon. It's possible, that the lyrics weren't written by Marc Okrand or another klingonist, but by a member of the film crew, who read the The Klingon Dictionary.

1 In the original version the name sqral meant the river, without being official ("canon"). We know since the paq'batlh, it is written SIqral.
