Morphology

Wikipedia: Morphology (from greek μορφή morphé ‚shape‘, ‚form‘ and λόγος lógos ‚word‘, ‚lore‘, ‚rationality‘), in a linguistic sense is a branch of grammar. Morphology looks at the inner structure of words and explores the smallest, function and/or meaning elements of a language, the morphemes.
