Star Trek: The Experience

Star Trek: The Experience is the name of a showplace, which opened in January 1998 in the Las Vegas Hilton, Paradise, Nevada.

At the end of the exhibition, featuring some pieces of the Star Trek history, the visitors could choose between two attractions: A borg invasion or an encounter with the klingons, called The Klingon encounter. At the end of the shows, in general the other one followed. Both shows were guided by real people and supported by simulators or a 4D-cinema.

The show The Klingon Encounter is the source for the klingon spelling of star ship Enterprise ('entepray'): DIvI' 'ejDo' 'entepray'Daq Dajollu' (Let yourself be beamed on board of the USS Enterprise.).

Star Trek: The Experience was closed on September 2008. It is not to be confused with the traveling exhibition Star Trek: The Exhibition.
