This article is about the spaceship; for other meanings of the word please see Enterprise

U.S.S. Enterprise

The name Enterprise has been used by various ships throughout human history. Among them were: a sailing ship, an aircraft carrier, a NASA shuttle, and at least seven Starfleet ships.

Klingon spelling

In klingon, Enterprise is pronounced 'entepray' (1)(2).

It may seem, at first glance, as if the klingon phonology is all wrong, when comparing the german (or english) syllabification with the klingon:
Enter-prise - 'ente-pray'

However, in truth it follows the CVC-pattern perfectly: 'en - tep - ray'
