More Information

An equivalent way to say this is 'aplom chuch, lit. "pellet ice". (qep'a' 2017)

The difference between both versions is - theoretically - that chuch ice is a non-countable mass noun, so 'aplom chuch would very likely be used for hail in general, while the chuch 'aplom refers to the specific single piece of hailstone.
